The Texas Attorney General has opined that the Legislature may, but is not compelled to, redistrict Congressional districts this year.

Here is an article from the Dallas News on this and the alleged theft of the DeLay map. The article includes a categorical denial by Gerry Hebert that a theft occured.

Craddick's proposed district will hog most of the oil,(Permian Basin,), most of the water,(Lake Ivey, Lake Brownwood, Lake Proctor, Lake Buchanan, Lake LBJ, the Colorado river, the two LLano rivers, the San Saba river, Lord knows how many wells,), most of the cattle,(Mason and San Saba auction barns), nearly all of the pecans,(San Saba County), and to top off all of the above, will include both Luckenback and Lowake!
