Judge Howard Hawk will run as an independent
The Huntsville Times reports: Marshall County presiding Circuit Judge Howard Hawk expects to be on the ballot in November as an independent candidate.
Hawk said he will turn in over 5,000 signatures to the Alabama Secretary of State's office today to qualify. A longtime Democrat, Hawk switched to the Republican party in December 2010.
