Maybe Coats can run after all

The Huntsville Times (al.com) reports: An effort to disqualify GOP judge nominee Linda Coats based on an alleged failure to file financial disclosures with the Alabama Supreme Court appeared to have been upended this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Alabama Supreme Court Clerk Robert Esdale said that his Thursday statement that the office didn't have any record of Coats' filing was based on a search of 2012 filings.
